Limited Edition Historical Outfits?

Hi all -

I'm excited, because I just bought Kirsten's skating coat for a BIN of $20 on ebay.

I already have Molly's LE tennis outfit. I know Felicity's LE outfit is the town fair one, which is hard as heck to find at a reasonable price, but I keep dreaming. Was Samantha's LE the original bathing suit? Addy's is the stilting one? I'm trying to figure out what LE outfits I still need. And I don't care if they are just the outfit, or part of the accessories--I've had much better luck price-wise in getting the harder to find stuff in pieces rather than in complete sets.

I would be very interested to see the quality of this coat. This seller sells pretty much only newly made (in China, I believe) AG stuff without tags. It's a cheap way to get retired stuff, but I'm curious if the fabrics and quality are the same as when these items were originally made and sold.

As for the Special Edition Outfits, you are right -- Felicity has the Town Fair Outfit, Kirsten has the Skating Outfit, Addy has the Stilting Outfit, Sam has the Bathing Outfit and Molly has the Tennis Outfit.

I figured for the price, I'd take the risk. I've bought things from another seller on ebay who also sells lots of items without tags (some retired), and have found them to be exactly the same quality as tagged AG merchandise. And this person does have a very good feedback rating.

I'll let you know when the coat arrives if it has any quality problems.

You could be right that the untagged AG items are, in general, very high quality; however, the coat is supposed to be made of a real Hudson Bay (I think) blanket, so I would be curious to see if the coat you had is made of the same material as a tagged one! (Although, I guess if you don't have the original coat, you probably wouldn't be able to compare. [img]graemlins/wonder.gif[/img] )
